Do you want to get your students engaged in Math Practices? Do you want to get your kids thinking and involved in discussion? Cross Out One is a FUN and non-threatening way to get your 3rd grade through 5th grade students reasoning, developing number sense, and explaining their thinking to others.
Cross One Out is an activity where students are presented with 4 choices and they need to choose which one doesn't belong AND defend their choice with reasoning. For an additional challenge, you can have kids choose more than one to defend why it should be eliminated. These are created to be open-ended and have several correct answers that can be defended.
