This is a handout for teaching students to shade using crosshatching (or criss-crossed lines). This process shows students that more lines closer together can show a darker value, while fewer lines further apart show a lighter value.
This handout has two separate value scales, one for the teacher to fill in as an example before copying for students to fill in the other scale.
