To compare beliefs of the Middle Ages with scientific discoveries of the 1500s and 1600s.

This activity begins with three introductory paragraphs which give a brief overview of the Scientific Revolution. Students then continue reading through a chart that summarizes the work of some of the most famous names ever in the field of science. The chart has two columns that provide information about what things were like "Before the Scientific Revolution" and "After the Scientific Revolution."
The lesson concludes with a crossword puzzle that can be done using information provided on the preceding pages.
Easy-to-follow Teacher Instructions and answer key included, along with a 20-question follow up quiz to measure student progress. The quiz can also be given as a homework assignment or used as a review exercise later in the school year.
