During this adventure, students will prepare to sail along with the Allen family as they cruise Alaska’s Inside Passage. Their ports of call include Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway and Victoria, British Columbia. The itinerary includes shore excursions at each port of call.
Students will become engaged as they figure out the budget for this exciting cruise vacation, learn how to apply for passports, and pack for the cruise. Every cruise passenger receives a booklet, Welcome Aboard! Follow the directions to create your ship booklet for the Allen family.
With plenty of time at sea you will participate in the ship’s Youth Program. The enriching hands-on program involves students in activities based on the coastal cultures of three Alaskan Native Peoples: Tlingit, Haida, and Tsimshian. Join the kids, counselors, and families in their culminating activity - a Potlatch!
Printables, answer keys, arts and crafts, directions for creating a Welcome Aboard! booklet, rubric, resources, supply list and glossary are also included in this integrated packet. Several common core elements enhance the learning experience as students cruise Alaska’s Inside Passage.
Get ready to embark on a delightful journey. Bon Voyage!
