Crypto-Animals Sampler Pack

12/6/20 - I have updated this sample pack to use TpT's new digital overlay tool. This means that students can complete these activities online! Each page has answer boxes provided for all the math problems and coded clues. Students may wish to use scratch paper to work the math problems first before typing it into the digital worksheet. I hope these work well on this digital platform, but please let me know if there are any issues. There are limitations to the system, but I think it is still beneficial to use these puzzles in this way, so enjoy!

Crypto-Animals were designed to help students practice multi-digit operations while having fun! First, they plug through the math problems. Then they use their answers to finish a set of clues at the bottom of the page. Last, they use their animal knowledge to deduce the mystery animals based on the completed clues.

This pack provides a sample of one addition, one subtraction, one multiplication, and one division puzzle. You can try these samples with your students and if they love them, you can find more at the following links:
