Product Description

In this lab students will dehydrate solid copper II sulfate pentahydrate and heat to constant mass. Students will use their data to determine the number of water molecules in the hydrated crystal.

Materials needed: hot plates or burners with stands (pipe triangle or similar), crucibles or evaporating dishes, CuSO4-5H2O (fine crystals or powder). I recommend hot plates and fine crystals if you are ordering for this lab.
