This is a half sheet activity that incorporates both listening and speaking. There are 50 dates written in the format day of the week, number of the day and month of the year. Students get practice reading dates as they are written in Spanish, they practice hearing dates and identifying what is being said and finally they can get with a partner and practice saying dates to each other. The idea is first the teacher says 10-15 dates in Spanish and the students shade in the dates the teacher says. After this activity has been modeled and completed, the student take turns saying 5 or more dates that are left on the board to their partners, shading those in as well. This is a great activity to do right after a lesson on dates!
