This award winning lesson is excellent for connecting study of imperfect verbs to a show-and-tell style presentation by your students. Students assemble various souvenirs of their childhood in a shoebox and describe their childhood to their peers. Classmates track each presentation by listening for key elements and recording information on a listening grid. Final assessment also includes a written component where students elaborate on the information they presented orally. Students gain practice in the areas of speaking, listening, and writing throughout this activity. Best suited for second year students. Instructions are provided in Spanish and English, so as to be easily adapted for other world languages.
