This is a worksheet that I put together to accompany this video
to practice imperfect tense in the context of describing how you spent your summers as a child.
Students do a few activities before listening. Then, there is a cloze activity for students to complete Teresa's description of how she spent her childhood summers using verbs in the imperfect tense (answer key included).
After completing the script with the correct verbs, students give the reason that triggered the use of imperfect tense (a list of the reasons is provided).
Finally, as an extension, students write their own description of a childhood vacation, using the language from the video as a model. Students could also present this orally to a partner for some speaking practice.
This is a great activity for students to practice listening, speaking, reading, and writing with imperfect tense.
