This is a great activity to use to practice speaking and writing numbers in Spanish.
Students get to choose what celebrity they want to be for the day, and they must look up their age and be able to tell people what their age is in Spanish. Students love this because they get to choose a celebrity they really like or would want to be for a day. You can change the names and add in people more relevant to your students, such as different celebrities, athletes, or familiar faces in the school/community. Cut out the names on the last 6 pages of the document and set them all out on a table, letting them choose!
Students interact by practicing the phrases "¿Cuántos años tienes tú?" and "Tengo ___ años". They write down the ages of the people that they talk to and are not allowed to speak any English.
In the end, you can randomly ask questions to the entire class about the peoples' ages to check for understanding and see if they wrote down and comprehended what they were being told in Spanish.
It can last as long or as short as you want. You could make it a competition and time them to see how many people they can talk to in a certain amount of time.
