In this no prep simulation-format lesson plan your students will identify different actions to the Cuban Missile Crisis that the United States considered taking and analyze the pros and cons of each action.
Each group of students will get a different scenario based on the CIA Brief primary source and will present its findings to the whole class. At the end of this lesson, each student will produce a persuasive paragraph advocating for one action that the United States should have taken during the Cuban Missile Crisis and will provide at least two arguments in its support.
