In this project students will create an original piece of artwork in the style of cubism that uses shading, stippling, hatching and cross-hatching to show value. There are two lessons included. One lesson focuses on value and one lesson focuses on cubism and the steps to create the cubism project. This 9 page document also includes step by step project instructions for students to create their cubism project, a grading rubric and an instruction sheet for students. The lesson plans include the following sections: State Learning Objective, Activate Prior Knowledge, Importance, Concept Development, Skill Development/Modeling/Guided Practice, Independent Practice, Assessment, and Closure. It includes EDI techniques for Checking for Understanding and TAPPLE. This project will take 10-15 class periods to complete.
