This is a FUN, engaging in-class activity that helps students understand, relate to, and apply their knowledge of cultural diffusion.
Students work together to analyze the McDonald's menu of their given country (India, Singapore, Israel, Japan, and Mexico) In addition to the menu of a given country, they are given informational text on the background of their country's religion and culture.
They have to note differences, similarities, and make predictions as to WHY these differences occur and how it directly relates to cultural diffusion.
