The culture study is an amazing resource for your students to use to take a look into other cultures and their own! Covering so many standards in math, reading and social studies, your students will learn so much.
This resource includes:
1. 7 Continent Signs
Students look at welcome sign map colored by continent to show where the continent is located on a map.
2. North America Timelines
Students order the timeline cards in order by the invention dates.
3. Culture Match Game
Students place the colored culture cards down first. Then, read each topic card and match it to the correct culture card.
4. Time Order Words Cards
Students place time order word cards with the correct time order replacement cards.
5. Transitional Words Cards
Students place transitional word cards with the correct transitional word category cards.
6. South America Text Features Match
Students match small text feature cards to the correct text feature poster and place it on the suitcase.
7. African Cause and Effect
Students will match cause cards to effect cards.
8. Culture “Round” the World
Students place the colored cards in order like a
number line. Then, read each white card and
place the card above the number that it rounds to.
9. World Subtraction
Students will solve the subtraction problems around
the world and use the code to color the map.
10. European Guide Words
Students will use dictionaries to find what guide words the word cards fall under.
11. Australian Dictionary Cards
Students will use the dictionary entries to find the meaning of the underlined word.
12. Antarctica Trading Cards
Students fill out the culture trading cards about Antarctica. Students may also use these cards for their own culture or other cultures and trade it with friends.
13. Culture in the Story
Students read a story about culture and determine the main idea and/ or theme.
14. Comparing Culture
Students read a story about or research a culture and compare the two cultures.
