This generic worksheet can be placed in a Literacy Center with a focus on Social Studies.
It should be accompanied by books on students' levels that show children from different cultures. In my literacy center, I included the following titles: Children Just Like Me, Lots of Grandparents, How are we the Same and Different?, Be My Neighbor, All Kinds of Children, People, and If the World Were a Village. However, you can use any books that your library has available.
On the worksheet, students give examples of culture elements (beliefs, traditions, language, skills, arts, literature) that they learned about in the books as well as comparing and contrasting the culture to their own. Finally, they reflect on what they think would be interesting about living in that culture.
