Product Description

In this packet students read about culture and what makes a culture unique. Through examining three different "Santas" from around the world they begin to understand similiarities and differences between cultures. A writing prompt is included with this activity where students use the text and pictures provided to explain why the Santas are similar and different.

Students then learn about material and nonmaterial culture and apply these terms with an example provided in the packet. Once this has been completed, students are then tasked with describing their own culture through material and nonmaterial examples.

I have given the Santa page as homework and of all the homework assignments I give, this is by far the most completed one! Students absolutely LOVE the Santa page!
