This differentiated project was designed to show students how their choice of career affects the rest of their money life. This project is best used in conjunction with the Income, Budget, Checking, and Savings Account, Rent/Mortgage, Insurance, Sales Tax, Tip, and Discount, Insurance, Fractions, Meal Planning, Comparison Shopping, Bank Services, and Credit Card, Bundles. *These bundles are available for purchase through my store (except for Fraction).
The project includes two levels of certain components and is individualized for each student based on their chosen career and income. There is a rubric, job search section, income calculation section, two levels of a budget section (one for monthly budgeting and one for lunch budgeting), and a check writing and register section, insurance definition section, restaurant visit using sales tax, tip, and discount section, searching for a place to rent or buy section, an insurance vocabulary review section, a visual and application fraction section, a week of meal planning section, a comparison shopping based on savings amount section, a bank service search section, a credit card interest calculation section, and a goal setting section.
I encourage students to use all past notes, parts worksheets, and independent practices to complete the project as independently as possible!
The project is best paired with the Objective and Common Core Checklist (available for purchase through my store) to show students what they need to learn and what they have previously mastered, especially if you used the Differentiated Cumulative Projects 1 and 2.
The project can easily be printed and used immediately!
