I use this individual behavior plan for a few of my students that need constant reminders to follow certain classroom rules. I taped a cup on the student's desk and placed 8 paper clips on the rim of the cup. This chart was adhered to the desk, as well, so the student knows exactly which rules we are focusing on. When the student is not following those specific rules, rather than call out his/her name, I walk over to the desk, remove a paper clip from the rim of the cup, and drop it inside the cup. At the end of the day, if this student has 4 or more remaining on the rim of the cup, he/she earns the reward that we agreed upon. (You can fill that in on the chart) If there are less than 4 paper clips remaining, the student receives the agreed upon consequence. Then, the following day, all 8 paper clips have been returned to start fresh.
