Cupid’s Arrows are flying! This set of rhythmic games is a fun way to keep your students practicing rhythms all the while enjoying all the fun that Valentine’s Day brings. The games include various ideas for practicing rhythms that will challenge the students in both an individual, small group or whole group settings. In the title games, students will use Nerf Darts to “shoot” arrows and try to win more “hearts” then their opponents.
The rhythms are written in stick notation with and without noteheads. The rhythms are also not labeled to a specific rhythmic duration syllabic counting system. That is, if you use Gordon, Takadimi or Chêvé (traditional system used in the Kodály methodology) your students will be able to successfully read all the cards.
