Remember playing battleship- you would tell your partner a cordinate and it was either a hit or a miss. This is a similiar game with a valentines theme! In this game, you are helping Cupid shoot his love arrows at the cute little animals.
To play, each student needs a partner (one person gets board A, the other person gets board B). The students take turns solving a problem and telling their partner the answer (the answers to game board A are on the bottom of game board B and vice-versa). The answer either makes true love (is on the animals) or is a miss (not on the animals). If the answer is not on the page, they know they need to check their work. The first person to make all the love matches wins the game!
The questions are multiplication word problems:
"Renee wants to give 3 candy hearts to 5 different people. How many candy hearts should he bring?"
"Griffin spent 4 nickels and 3 dimes on a cupcake. How many cents did he spend?"
The game is completely editable- so you can change the word problems to the names of your students!
