Curious George is up to more mischief in this cute little unit! You can use it right before an Open House or to start your school year by reading Margaret and H.A. Rey’s Curious George goes to School.
George and the man with the Yellow Hat are on their way to an Open House at school. George gets to paint a picture of a palm tree. However, he turns on a fan and blows all the student art work to the floor! Your students will get to:
*paint a cute “Dot art” picture like the ones from the story and decorate with a picture of george if they wish
*give each other a “Gold star” for their art work (just like in the story) and write about it
*complete a story map
*answer comprehension questions
*do a crossword puzzle using the story
*do creative writing about an animal that goes to school
