Spark your students curiosity as they read about any topic in any content. Students will want to know more about the content because of their own curiosity. When giving students an article/text, divide up the sections into 5 different ones to make the "Sum it Up" section easier. This is a great preview activity for new content or a way to extend your students's learning in the content you are currently teaching. Also, check out the Current Event Summary Sketch for another take on the same activity.
