PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Every week, I choose a few articles from the news, format them for easy reading, and make a challenging 12 to 20-question multiple-choice quiz over the information in the articles. Packets range between 10-15 pages in total length and concern major stories from the previous week.

I usually post the article packets on Monday and have the quiz made by Tuesday evening. Follow this account to get notified when the next article packet and quiz get posted.

The articles cover both domestic and international events and are usually from publications such as The New York Times (the main source, generally), The Washington Post, The New Yorker, and The Week.

This week's articles:

The High Cost of Cheap Labor (Modern Farmer)

Comey Asks Justice Dept. to Reject Trump’s Wiretapping Claim (NYT)

A Young Immigrant Spoke Out About Her Deportation Fears. Then She Was Detained. (NYT)

‘They Told Us They Were Here to Help Us.’ Then Came Slaughter. (Nigeria) (NYT)

War Consumes South Sudan, a Young Nation Cracking Apart (NYT)

Along with keeping students updated on events, the weekly set of articles and quiz gives students great practice with reading informational texts and note-taking.
