This is a perfect tool for planning a year of curriculum at a glance. The first page is a blank one, and the 2nd is an example of what it would look like with dates filled in for the year 2015 in my school district.
I usually print one per subject, and pencil in a summary for each week. For example, on my ELA Curriculum Map I pencil in the main story of the week, comprehension skill, spelling focus, grammar lesson, & poem of the week. For math, I always make a note of quarterly benchmark deadlines, and which weeks I will be teaching each chapter or unit. I print a third one to plan for and keep track of writing or journal topics. You could also use it to plan for weekly centers. Now when you come across a great activity or lesson idea, you can have a place to record WHEN you are going to actually USE it!
