Used in upper level Latin classes. Well received and fun.
Requires the following video from YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Az4P2EXH5x4
A complete project (no rubric, sorry) from introduction through to creation of curse. Students learn to identify the parts of a curse in English, then in Latin. From there, using what they just learned, they are asked to complete, in Latin, parts of the English version they already worked through. Lastly, through leading questions, students create their own curse.
Works well over the course of two periods or one class block.
To create a mock curse tablet, have students write out their curses on double-thick tin foil with a dull pencil.
