THIS IS A CONTINUATION OF PART 1of 3 and 2 of 3. YOU CAN STILL FIND USE WITH THIS FILE BUT WORKS BEST AFTER PART 1 and 2. THANKS!
Are you like me and have NO time to teach cursive?! Or, do you have to teach it but don't have many, if any, resources as the teaching of cursive has been placed at the bottom of the totem poll? If so, read on!
This download includes eight worksheets that take students through the first eight lowercase letter to be learned. Those letters are: p, d, b, j, y, g, f, q, z
I have used these worksheets to teach cursive for over a decade now and this is why I continue to:
#1- The students enjoy them as it takes them step-by-step on how to make each letter. They always look foward to the next one!
#2- There is a pattern to them. Except for the first lesson, they provide students with review section at the top of the paper. It has them review writing the previous learned letters as well as some others. I don't know about you, but my students don't always master things the first time ;-).
#3- Due to my lack of time to teach cursive, there are many sheets that I can have students work on individually as morning work or center work. The harder letters I will teach whole class, but many they can self teach themselves!!!
#4- With this download, you can print out copies for students, but you can also post the lesson on the ActivBoard as a great visual to help teach!
If you find my worksheets useful, please search for the "Cursive Lowercase Letters (1 of 3)" and "Cursive Lowercase Letters (2 of 3)".
Please note that this is not a computer made resource! It is my own handwriting and I did my best to make sure that the print showed up dark when I converted it to a PDF file. It does not have all the thrills of fancy fonts and graphics, but it's a VERY USEFUL resource and it's student approved ;-)!
