What's a better way to talk about Customary Measurement than with using students' baby pictures?! Have parents send in a picture of their child with their name, birth height and weight on the back.
1. Who's Who: The first activity is letting students decide what picture belongs to what student and writing them down. (THEY LOVE THIS PART!). There are 2 different pages for this...one with 20 spots and one with 25 spots.
2. Weight In Order: Have students take their own picture and order themselves from smallest to largest baby by WEIGHT.
3. Height in Order: Same as the weight activity but have students line up from smallest to longest baby by HEIGHT.
**They love sorting themselves into an order and seeing students' baby pictures. This activity spirals back in Comparing and Ordering numbers as well!
