Product Description
Use this Math Wheel to introduce or review customary measurements and conversions. You can use the wheel as you discuss the different categories of measurement, completing one section at a time over a period of days. Or, you can use it as a review after you’ve taught the concepts. Either way, students can keep the wheel in their notebooks or binders as a resource/study tool.

The wheel sections include:
1) Length (inch, foot, yard, mile)
2) Weight (ounce, pound, ton)
3) Capacity (cup, pint, quart, gallon)
4) Time (second, minute, hour, day, year)

* For the suggested notes, each section includes the abbreviation for each unit and the equivalences of the units (ex: 12 in = 1 ft, 3 ft = 1 yd, etc). Added along the sides of 2 sections, I included suggested notes about multiplying/dividing when converting from big to small/small to big units – just suggestions.
* In case you haven’t used the G for capacity equivalences before (this is a great visual for students) - directions are included.
* On the colored sample, I added some conversion examples in each section – there’s room for more, if you want to have your students add more/show work.
* Around the circle there are 12 practice problems for guided or individual practice. These address all the categories – length, capacity, time, and weight.

*Students can color the doodle arrows and the background pattern for fun.
**There’s a file with a PPT page included. This is a blank wheel with background, so you can add text to make your own math wheels, if you’d like (for classroom use only - not commercial use).
