Conversions is a hard concept for students to grasp. This file can help students remember the customary and metric conversions by creating cards and having a cheat sheet.
Cards: Print out on color cardstock, cut out along the lines to create cards, hole punch the corners, and put on a binder ring.
Cheat Sheet: Print cheat sheet out and cut down the middle. Have students glue it in their books so they have it while completing conversion problems.
Use them during centers, to complete class work, for student to memorize or test themselves when they finish work.
Also, for homework you can ask students to memorize certain conversions off their cheat sheet. Then the next day, for a warm up, call on 3-4 student to the front of the classroom. Ask another student in the class to choose a random conversion off the binder ring. Students in the front of the room must complete the conversion.
All the conversion that students need to know based on the common core standards are available in this file.
