This is a printable book that can be used for many purposes. The book can be made with or without input from the child depending on age/ability. The book could also be completed by parents and caregivers to introduce their children to new teachers or therapists. The text includes a mix of space throughout for the addition of pictures and ideas contributed by the child and/or caregivers. I recommend using real photographs of the child whenever possible.
When completed, the entire book creates a social story that can be read to the child or used to help introduce a child to a new caregiver.
Topics include: What it feels and looks like to grow up, favorite things, comfortable and uncomfortable feelings, people and things that help the child feel better.
This book is easily used by school staff, parents, or other therapy staff. The content is aimed at late preschool/early school age children with special needs but could be used with older or younger children as appropriate.
Note: In order to make this specific product accessible to a wide variety of people, I have set the cost quite low but not included a multiple license price. For schools and larger groups, please purchase one per classroom or grade level. This helps keep my prices down.
