Cut & Paste Sentences Using Sight Words is a fun activity using Fry's word list. Students unscramble the sentence, paste the words in the proper order, write the sentence, and draw a picture to match.
This packet includes six worksheets that target Fry's sight words list one. It also includes the list of words that students cut up and manipulate to make new sentences on their own. Sight words are words that students see every day and should know. Practice reading and writing these words will increase recognition sentence structure and develop writing skills.
Students have the opportunity to cut out the words on the bottom of the page and unscramble them to make a sentence in the proper order that make sense. Then the students paste the sentence and write it on the primary lines provided. The students then draw a picture to match the sentence. Also included in this packet is the list of same words that an be copied on card stock paper so students can make new sentences. It can also be copied twice to be used to play a game of concentration. This packet is perfect for individual work, small group work, or it can be used in a literacy center for further practice. These pages can be put in a student folder for record keeping or in a student journal.
