This packet includes 21 worksheets that target Fry's sight words list 2 and 3. It also includes the list of words that students cut up and manipulate to make new sentences or use the same sentences for further practice on their own. Sight words are words that student see everyday and should know. Practice reading and writing these words will increase recognition of sentence structure and develop writing skills.
Students have the opportunity to cut out the words on the bottom of the page and unscramble them to make a sentence in the proper order that makes sense. Then the students paste the sentence and write it on the primary lines provided. The students then draw a picture to match the sentence. Also included in this packet are the list of words that can be copied on card stock paper and cut up so students can make new sentences and order the sentences on the chart provided. The words can also be copied twice to use in a game of concentration. This packet is perfect for independent work, small group work, or it can be used in a literacy center for further practice. These pages can be put in a student journal for record keeping.
