This is my Cut, Stack, Staple, Read Early Emergent Readers A to Z Traditional Font
set converted to NSW Foundation Font for those teaching in Australia! If you need the traditional font version, please click its hyperlink above!
Is your school attempting to reduce paper use? If so, these are perfect- it is the benefit of a 4-page reader but only uses 1 page per student!
Books also align with, support and meet Common Core Standards!
This Pack Includes:
*27 ‘Cut, Stack, Staple & Read’ activities-
1 for each letter of the alphabet (2 for x- initial & ending sound) in NSW Foundation Font!
Your students will practice reading the following sight words:
I, see, an, have, a, here, is, we, like, look, at, the, am, want, this, my
*A blank ‘dotted line’ page to use to copy on the back of the books so that when students are finished they can also practice writing the letter they are working on!
*Teach your students how to properly use a stapler
(mini staplers work great for this!)
and these can be used as a literacy center!
*Students cut out the pictures, stack them together,
staple them to the bottom sentence form
and then read the sentences they have created!
*A blank space on the bottom allows for students
to create (draw and sound spell/write) their own addition to the book!
*Encourage students to also circle the letter they are working on
for additional letter ID practice!
