Cut-n-Paste (or CNP as I call them) is just what it sounds like. Students are provided with one page of 6-12 definitions and pictures. They are to cut out the definition and paste it in to the corresponding space provided on a second sheet of vocabulary terms. (If there are 12 terms, print the term pages back to back for the students.)
Fold the completed assignment in half the long way (hot dog) and you have created instant flash cards for review. Great for interactive notebooks.
This assignment is easy to assess. As a teacher I look for the correct order of images that appear with the definitions. I can scan down a page of six terms in no time flat.
This particular CNP addresses terms associated with the study of cell structure including terms such as nucleus, mitochondria and chromosomes.
