Great for cutting and gluing practice!
This unit will strengthen your students' scissor skills using 3 fun art projects. It makes teaching these tricky skills a snap! It is chock full of resources that you will be able to use all year!
There are three main craft/art projects in this unit. They increase in challenge level, helping your students to build knowledge as they go. I have included several supplemental activities that will support the three projects along with lots of talking points and helpful illustrations to share with students. There are also read-aloud connections offered in many of the activities.
★3 cutting and gluing crafts: a bug, a pizza and an owl
★Supplemental cutting activities including an animal themed cutting practice sheet
★Templates & thorough directions for the crafts
★Detailed talking points for introducing cutting & gluing
★Printable classroom posters
about scissors & glue
★Ideas for modifications & accommodations
My students ♥ the 3 art projects in this unit. So do parents & staff, I get asked each year "when are you going to make the owls? They are so cute!!" They look great on bulletin boards!
These activities are perfect for pre-K and K but will also help older students who struggle with cutting. It is also great for Special Ed!
