This worksheet allows students to recognize the relationship of a distance-time graph and velocity. They will rearrange the velocity equation to solve for distance, time and velocity, as well as identify the difference between speed and velocity. Students will take various scenarios and graph the outcome then interpret the graph.
I used this worksheet after I taught velocity and the basics of d-t graphs. It allowed me to quickly see which kids had mastered the material and which needed a little more work. It took most kids about 40 minutes to finish this sheet.
MATH TEACHERS: Even if your kids are not in physics, this allows them to rearrange variables of an equation, graph data and decipher slope. Plus it is application based information, which is perfect for common core.
