This Cornell Notes style worksheet goes with the documentary, Viceland - Sacred Water: Standing Rock Part 1 - RISE
, available on Youtube. It consists of 37 teacher-made questions that follow along with the 44 minute documentary that has been viewed almost 150,000 times!
This Word document includes a blank copy and an answer key. Questions are mostly lower-order thinking questions to keep students focused while watching the video. There are two higher order thinking, extended response questions, one of which is a pre-write activity and the other is a post-write paragraph. As an editable document, you can modify this worksheet to differentiate for your classroom.
This could be an excellent activity to keep students engaged for a class period or as an introduction to a highly debated topic. It can even be left for a sub in your absence (see caution below)
