Product Description
Students will read primary source documents and will analyze them. There are a total of five primary sources with ten short answer questions and two mini-essay questions. Document Based Questions are a great way of having students begin to think like historians! Students can look at the documents themselves and have a better sense of how people thought and interacted during the specific time period. When I was a graduate student, I found nothing more exciting than spending time in the archives. Give this gift to your students. Slavery is intense, brutal and depressing! Students will learn about children being thrown overboard, slave ship conditions and contemporary moral beliefs. One document is an excerpt of a poem. The English teacher on your hall will LOVE YOU. :)
