One of Alexander Hamilton's arguments for a strong Federal government, contained in Federalist #9, was what had occurred in other civilizations whose states contained much of the power at the expense of the nation. In these 5 excerpts from his 9th writing, young historians will rotate in stations and present their document analysis findings to the whole class upon the last rotation. (Document Analysis forms are NOT included). The writing is entitled: The Union as a Safeguard Against Domestic Faction and Insurrection.
