This is such a handy little tool. I used these with my students on every single DBQ that we completed this past school year, and it showed great success in a few areas.
-The foldable format (print double-sided!!!) allowed students to glue this into their interactive student notebooks, which resulted in students not only keeping up with their work, but they were also using it more often during the writing process. In addition, since DBQs generally go along with our content, it served as extra notes and resources in their notebook, as well.
-The graphic organizer style is clean and easy to follow for students. Students could see the information that they needed and use it during the writing process.
-This foldable made pulling the key info from the sources and transferring that into something they could cite in their essays seem less intimidating! Answering only the source questions did not work for my students, but this did!
I hope that you enjoy using this graphic organizer while working on your DBQ's! The format is really simple and your students should catch on to the process pretty quickly. I used questions that were not specific to any one DBQ so that this could be used with any topic.
