Are you looking for bellwork that needs minimal instruction, provides practice for important skills tested on DIBELS, and gives you a chance to work on RTI with small groups? Well, look no further!
DIBELS Prep Bellwork (Part 2) includes 40 days of double sided bellwork to help your students with important phonics skills that are tested on DIBELS. I have used this in my classroom, and it has given all of my students a challenge. Students must work together on a portion of the bellwork, and you may have them complete the rest individually or with a partner.
If you teach a Spalding kindergarten class, the back side of the bellwork practices spelling lists 14-21.
If you do not teach a Spalding kindergarten class, the words practice the Ayres high frequency words, so your students will still benefit. There are also Fry's high frequency words to practice reading as well.
The back side of the paper practices the Ayres high frequency words through writing rainbow words, and writing three sentences using a different Ayres word. The CUPS checklist is included on the page for reference. The students must also read ten of the Fry's high frequency words.
That format is used for three days. On day four, the students are given a word bank with scrambled words. On day five, the students are given a word search.
This bellwork saved my sanity while working with small groups, and helped with my DIBELS scores.
I also have the first version of my DIBELS bellwork available in my store. The words for phonemic segmentation are a bit easier, and the Ayres words used are kindergarten spelling lists 6-13.
