Product Description

Interactive and fun activities to reinforce concepts about the digestive system. This resource addresses MS-LS1-3, using my graphics, as either an introduction or a review going over structures and functions. These can be used in either a digital interactive science notebook using Google Slides or a paper interactive notebook.

Included are six digital or printable activities:

*Introduction discussion slide comparing our digestive systems to a car wash! Students are usually very surprised to learn that all of the organs are continuous and not separate.

*Drag and drop(or interactive notebook cut out) Labeling the structures of the mouth.

*Drag and drop(or interactive notebook cut out) labeling the structures of the entire digestive system.

*Drag and drop(or interactive notebook cut out) labeling the structures of the pancreas, liver, gallbladder and duodenum.

*Drag and drop review questions with answer sheet included.

*Food tracking activity determining how long the food is in each organ. Students are usually fascinated at how long it takes the entire process!

*Concluding activity where students take “selfies” and draw the digestive system on their own bodies to pull the entire unit together.

This is uploaded as a PowerPoint so individual slides can be sent to the students’ devices or printed out.
