Description

Winter is the perfect season to teach changes in properties and heat energy!

Students see how heat changes the properties of a snowman, chocolate chips, cookie dough and conducts their own experiments! My class loved exploring the sources of heat in "Santa's Kitchen"!

You can find this in my DIGITAL SCIENCE BUNDLE!

Skills covered:

  • predict and identify changes in materials caused by heating and cooling such as ice melting, water freezing
  • understand heat can change solids into liquids (butter, wax, chocolate, etc.) and freezing temperatures can change liquids into solids
  • identify and discuss how heat energy is important to everyday life;
  • identify sources of heat

This digital resource is accessible using PowerPoint, Google Slides links (that can be used in Google Classroom), AND preloaded Seesaw activities!

Audio included for every slide requiring instructions to be read aloud - for Google Slides & Seesaw!

See preview for visuals!
