INTRODUCTION TO INFERENCES PRESENTATION:

This 12 slide Google Slides presentation provides students with introductory information about inferential thinking. The presentation includes the following information:

• What does it mean to infer?

• How good readers making inferences

• Examples of inferring information

MAKING INFERENCES ON SOCIAL MEDIA:

In this engaging activity, students will analyze 3 social media profiles to infer information about the person's life. The profiles contain both text and images that the students can use to make their inferences.

4 PICS 1 INFERENCE:

The students will be required to look at 4 pictures and infer meaning from them using their schema/background knowledge.

Your purchase includes five "4 Pictures 1 Inference" slides that students can complete. Each one of the slides asks students to complete two questions, which will have them infer meaning from the individual images, and the images as a whole. A student answer sample is also included.

In this activity, students find a missing camera with digital pictures and they need to infer information about the owner of the camera. This bundle includes 10 slides with "lost images" that students use to infer information.
