Dilation and Properties of Dilation ( -Unit 22)
This is a collection of tasks/ assessments on properties of Dilation (positive and negative coefficients; w/ center at Origin and at a random point, therefore it allows for connections with the units on Similarity, Constructions, 3d Figures and Volumes. Notice: Dilation of Lines is NOT included in this unit, but it IS available by the link to Unit 23 below.

22.1_Dilation ½. Explain why the two figures are similar.
22.2_Dilation -½. Are the two figures congruent? Explain.
22.3_Dilation -2. Are the two figures congruent? Explain.
22.4_Dilation 2. Use properties of dilation to explain why they are similar.
22.5_Dilation 2 w/center inside the triangle.
22.6_Identify the type of a transformation + Justify your conclusion: D -1/2 , D -2 (prime notation is used; auxiliary construction lines are visible).
