DIVERSITY Interactive MINDFUL Notebook

Teaching for diversity is more responsive when students develop a strong and proud sense of self and learn more about others. In this notebook, students learn about the similarities and differences of us all that help to create a better world. Teach about diversity, growth mindset and SEL all in one set.

Diversity in this pack refers to cultural diversity, social and economical diversity and physical, developmental and learning diversity. This pack does NOT include information on all of these in specifics but more as an overall understanding and introduction to diversity.

My life timeline

Perspectives

My roles in the world

Using my roles to be a positive member of society

My family (culture, language, food etc)

Building Compassion

Stereotypes: identification and growth mindset lessons to move forward from our own stereotypes or social problems.

This unit is complex in concepts yet can be differentiated from mid year 2nd graders to 5th graders. (Suggestions are given.)
