PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

My math lessons focus on student engagement and participation. I focus on developing conceptual understanding using manipulatives, specific language and activities.  My lesson plans also include differientiated tasks that cater to the varying levels in the classroom.

Goals:

1) To use estimation and manipulatives to understand division of decimals
2) To understand the connection between dividing with decimals and dividing with whole numbers

Using estimation for division, as well as manipulatives helps students to create more meaning for this concept as well as can help create deeper understandings of the concepts involved (rather than counting decimal places).
