How this activity works:

Step 1 - Students color the bases, phosphates, and sugar according to the key.

Step 2 - Cut out the individual shapes.

Step 3 - Assemble the DNA model like a puzzle.

Step 4 - Glue to a paper.

Teacher Notes:

Emphasis is on conceptual understanding that changes in genetic material may result in making different proteins.
