Create an I.D. bracelet with your DNA!
In this hands-on activity students create a bracelet showing the DNA codons for their initials. Within the activity is a chart that assigns a codon to each letter of the alphabet, students are responsible to identify the matching nucleotides and create their bracelet.
This is a great activity for middle school science students to demonstrate their understanding of the structure of DNA. It would also be appropriate for special education students who may benefit from a more hands-on approach to understanding DNA.
