Students use directions and templates to create large scale models (approx. 3' high) of a DNA replication fork. Students use vocabulary terms, enzymes, and free nucleotides to create the replication fork. Directions include checks for understanding, step by step directions, templates for parts, and conclusion questions.
The activity provides students a chance to see the process of replication and understand it by creating it.
